If you've spent anytime with me at all, you would know that one of my absolute favorite things to do in the spring, summer, fall and occasionally warm winter days is to pour a hot cup of coffee and sit outside and enjoy the morning. Usually on my parents deck out in the country. So one fine morning this past year - I was busy in my house cleaning, walked past the front screen door and this is what I saw...My darling child Madison, had hauled up her princess chair from the basement and put it outside in the sun on the sidewalk and was sitting quietly there. Reminded me a bit of the final scene in Forrest Gump. I stood and watched to see what she was doing and after about a minute of absolutely nothing - I had to ask: "Maddie, whatcha doing?"
"Just enjoying the morning, mom...".
My kid is cute.
